◎简　　介　

　　一次偶然中，西德尼（菲利浦·贝克·霍尔 Philip Baker Hall 饰）遇见了名为约翰（约翰·C·赖利 John C. Reilly 饰）的男子，他将穷困潦倒的约翰带到了赌场之中，教会了他赌术，希望约翰能够借此时来运转。在赌场，西德尼遇见了违反了赌场规定和客人进行肉体交易的女招待克莱门汀（格温妮丝·帕特洛 Gwyneth Paltrow 饰），哪知道克莱门汀和约翰一见面就坠入了情网，马上决定携手步入婚姻的殿堂。
