[趣闻] 童谚童语
美国有个小学老师给班上 25 位一年级小朋友一份作业
题目是常用谚语的前半段, 请学生填上后半段
因为小孩对谚语所知有限, 所以补上的部分一定不是正确答案
但是有趣的是, 小孩的答案在大人眼中往往也有深意
这里选了 40 则, 十分值得参考....尤其是最后一个!


1. As you shall make your bed so shall you... mess it up.
自己铺的床就应该....自己弄乱
原谚语是 As you shall make your bed so shall you lie there.
也有版本是 As you make your bed so you must lie on it.
自己铺的床就该自己躺上去 / 自食恶果
2. Better to be safe than... punch a 5th grader.
小心总比打五年级学生好

◣ 小毛注: 正确用法应该是 Daylight Saving Time, 不过 Savings 也有很多人用, 已经积非成是了
